Shani’s cooking philosophy places the raw ingredient at the center. His dishes are built on a minimal number of components, restrained seasoning, and an unwavering dedication to fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced produce of the highest quality.
His love for cooking began in childhood, influenced by his grandfather — an agronomist and passionate vegan — who took him through markets, fields, and vineyards.
Without any formal culinary training, Shani developed his craft independently, forging a unique style that became his signature.
Shani is also widely recognized for his television presence, most notably as a longtime judge on MasterChef Israel since 2010.
